This is a Cool spot for some Hot Blues!: This place has some of the best Blues in town. Especially with the Bob Pace Band. Tony, Nick and Bob are the best blues musicians around. You gotta hear them. They play regularly on Tuesday nights.

Relax, enjoy the music...: Are you in the mood to just sit and listen? BOG has the perfect solution. Wander in and have a seat. Kick back, look around and say hello. Everyone here is family! An amazing place to go and not just listen, but actually HEAR some truly talented (and pretty darn nice) musicians.

a great time: You come here to listen to live blues with a crowd that comes to listen to blues.

If you're looking for a big patio bar with lots of college kids and a huge dance floor this is NOT the place for you. You might be able to play a little pool if you're lucky. You might be able to sit at a table if you come early or at the right time. You definately can choose to dance at the small dance floor if the music moves you.

It's a little gritty. It isn't a frilly place. It's a blues bar. They used to have the best Guiness on tap and still might. My understanding is that they've expanded since I was there a few years ago, perhaps?

If you like live music and have even a minor interest in blues you need to drop in when you're in town.

If Des Moines had about 20 more places like this in town we'd be a better known city.
