User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThese tacos are indeed tasty! I visited from out of town, and Tasty Tacos will be on my list to frequent every time I come back to Des Moines. The tacos are of the "puffy taco" or deep-fried flour tortilla variety, and are the second-best of this type I have had anywhere. You really feel like you've stumbled on a gem that only the locals know about when you eat here. The service is friendly though this is a fast-food format, so you won't be waited on. I did find that the value is only OK...the taco is definitely more filling and much larger than a Taco Bell "taco," but the menu prices are on par with what I've found on the a la carte menu in most Mexican restaurants in the Midwest.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsBest tacos in America!: My father used to work on the Eastside of Des Moines when we were growing up and would take us there after work on Saturdays for lunch. Since then our kids have all grown up eating the best tacos ever and whenever we come in town it's one of the first stops we make. I live in Texas now and I have NEVER had a taco as awesome as Tasty Tacos.(and this is the South). Why we have even had family pick up and ship down a cooler of tacos a few times just to get our Tasty Taco fix. Absolutly the BEST we have ever had!!! My mouth is watering just thinking about em'.

I'd eat there every week if I could! I just turned 21 on February 9th and I just had to have a flour taco and some flour nachos for my b-day lunch!! Helped me get through the workday!! :) And delicious every time!!
