The best thing about this place is the service. I have never been to a restaraunt that has consistantly fast service like these guys.
User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsI expected better food.: After seeing good reviews and hearing good things from friends, my wife and I were a bit disappointed in the taste of our food. The chips, while warm, were like cardboard and our meals were a mixed bag. I've had better Des Moines Mexican food at Pancheros, but the service at El Rodeo was good and the prices were very reasonable. Wednesday margaritas are only $3!
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsProbably the best Mexican in DSM: El Rodeo is one of the best Mexican places in DSM. The Cheese dip is awesome and the drinks are definately good. WE prefer the one on Euclid on the East side. But the one on Douglas is the original.

Comparing an actual mexican restaraunt to the McDonalds of mexican food... Just shows how some people prefer cheap and fast over actual good food and service. Like a kid that would rather have hot dogs than steak.
