User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI LOVE the Boathouse restaurant! Yes there are other good restaurants in Storm Lake but not as good as Boathouse. I also love the atmosphere there, it's very fun and inviting. You can go out and eat or go out and drink there all night. Compared to other restaurants in SL, NO one has as big of a menu selection. Boathouse has a huge menu of many different items. Their sandwiches and Oscars are the most amazing I've ever had. They also have excellant home-made soups that you can't find anywhere else in town. If they are busy you may have to wait a little bit longer but in my opinion it's defiantely worth it. Hands down-my FAVORITE place to eat in SL!

Not only did I wait for 2o some odd minutes when no one was in the restaurant, I come home to find out I didn't get what I ordered. I ordered a seafood pasta dish and got a seafood melt, which by the way, is hashbrowns with crab and shrimp. IT IS NOT GOOD, no taste what so ever. How you screw up melt and pasta when your writing something on a ticket is beyond me. This meal cost me 17 dollars plus I left a two dollar tip.
When I called to ask about what they had given me they said that they could give me 25% off the next time i came in. Beleive me I will not be going back to this establishment, and I would choose Martini's in Storm Lake if your looking to go to a restaurant with good food and reasonable prices!!

I agree. However, I've had even worse service at Martinis. Boathouse is really hit or miss. Either it's great or it's terrible. The only two places in town to get flawless execution are Plaza and La Juanita Taqueria.
