    Martin's Brandenburg is indeed a wonderful little German restaurant and hands down the best place to eat in Waverly. However, the owners are retiring from the restaurant business, and their last day will be February 17, 2008. As of January 22, 2008, there was no plans for another restaurant to take their place (the building is leased).

    An experience for the eyes and palate: My experiences with Martin's are many. I was part of the kitchen staff. The restaurant provides a variety of items for you to choose from all over Europe. Each one just as succulent as the other. The menu features regional cuisines to local favorites. I recommend the Beef Stroganoff, the Sauerbtaren, or the Zwiebel Rostbraten.

    The restaurant is filled with items from Martin's travels. Showcases display bottles, and posters, and knick knacks he's acquired throughout his years.

    As for Martin and his family. When I worked there, they treated me as though I were one of their own. This hospitality extends well into their interaction with the guests. Guests from europe feel like they back home. Those who have never been to Europe will find theselves being taken on a wonderful tour via their sense of taste.
