My boyfriend and I stayed at the hotel this past weekend. Due to some road construction we had some difficulty figuring out how to get to the hotel. We called the front desk to see if we could get directions. The woman told my boyfriend that they currently weren't checking in guests and put him on hold. She then proceeded to hang up on him. He called back a second time and got a different woman who gave us directions. When we checked in the woman behind the counter was very curteous and nice. She was probably the most pleasant part of the stay. When we arrived in the room it smelled awful. I went into the bathroom to get ready for the event we were going to and the toilet barely flushed on it's own. When my boyfriend or I had to use it we had to stand there and hold the handle down until it completely flushed. There were dust webs all over the ceiling. There were stains on the floor and on our top cover on the bed. When I pulled back the sheets there were two ciggarette burns in the sheets. Later that night my boyfriend called the front desk to ask where some good places to eat were, and again he was rudely put on hold for almost 20 minutes. We tried to look up the address of the two restaurants we were referred to, but there was no phone book in the room. I used to work at a hotel, so I know it can get busy at times, but the way that we were treated and the condition of the room was just beyond unacceptable.
