By far the worst service in town. But they have a fun atmosphere. The pizza is not near as good as it used to be. And no more delivery. :( The atmosphere has become too much of a bar and less of a restaurant, so I prefer not to dine in. Plus the servers never visit your table. Once there was a large group of us and the hostess seated half our group while the other half had to wait (they told us it would only be a few minutes--which turned into 40) and proceeded to take the order of the group seated and serve them. By the time the 2nd half of our group was served the other half was finished eating. It ruined the night.
Beer: Good 'n Cold: They just started serving ribs and they are good, but expect to wait 1/2 hour between the waitress' visits to the table. You may want to order a couple drinks at a time because the service is boyind lousy. No one has explained to the waitress' that you will earn bigger tips if you serve the customers a lot faster- in fact, the bar would make a lot more money too! Also, the PBR is cold!
Owner/Operator takes on the Franchises AND WINS: I was a rather fussy Kiwi guy living in the area for a while, fussy about my drinks and really fussy about my food. I found Mr. P's and liked the atmosphere there. Everyone, whether it was families, out of towners, or homesick foreigners were treated like family. They had a limited wine list so got in wines I recommended. I had to plead with the owner to raise the price as he was selling it too me far too cheaply!!!! I was only too willing to pay for their great service.
The staff were really helpful in meeting my requirements for food and the service was tops all the time. I often went there on a Saturday evening, had a couple of drinks, a meal, paid sales tax and left a tip and still had change out of a $20 bill.
On a Sunday evening while locals watched Football, baseball or NASCAR on the big screen, the staff would tune in a TV of my very own so I could watch the best game in the world...RUGBY!!!! on the Sunday Night Fox Rugby Show.
They provide great entertainment with comedians or hypnotists traveling to the venue and their theme parties are well patronised. They have a full bar licence now with knowledgable bar staff to whip up a great cocktail and have a vast array of bottled or draught beers.
I now live 10,000 miles away but visited last year and look forward to a bit of Christmas Cheer there at the end of this year. And what will I be eating? A Chicken Alfredo Pizza......they are to die for, or maybe the Prime Rib but I'm watching the calories so might have to give that dinosaur size serving a pass, and if it's just a snack.....ya gotta go for the chicken wings!!! Or maybe squeeze in one of their great burgers or sandwhiches and pass on the fries!!!!
Never met a person who didn't like the place!!! If I had a place like that in my hometown, I wouldn't have to travel over the Pacific Ocean and half of North America to get my fix!!
