Egg Krate

Each and every time I get close to Elk Horn I have to stop and browse through the Egg Krate! I love this store. There's always some new trivet, a wonderful piece of history, a memory in all the wonderful antiques, vintage items and items of our childhood. I have found some wonderful gifts for others and myself. One of very special finds was an absolutely beautiful murano glass red rooster! Ah, he was perfect, the colors of red with small flecks of other colors where magnificient when the evening sun would pour in the window onto the table where I had him sitting. How we enjoyed his brilliant show and magnificient attitude. Unfortunately, he met with demise during a Christmas gathering where he toppled off onto the floor into hundreds of pieces. I keep looking for a replacement as beautiful. So far he remains unfound. Maybe I'll find another one as beautiful some day at the Egg Krate - you know I'll be looking! I hope you enjoy your treasure finding experience there as much as I do.
