My car broke down on I-80 while heading to Iowa City from school in Grinnell. I coasted into a gas station parking lot just off the interstate and they suggested calling Doc's. They came over, looked at the car, towed it, repaired it and finished the repair in a couple of days. I was somewhat excepting to get ripped off since I was an out-of state college student who clearly didn't know anything about cars but instead I got a really good deal on the repair. I talked to one of the mechanics when picking up the car and he explained to me what they did and also made some honest suggestions about a few parts that needed repair. Wasn't trying to upsell me, just wanted me to know. I haven't needed a repair again but I would easily drive the 20 miles to Brooklyn based on my experience.
