Three samurai has great food however the wait for it is just rediculous! Our server was great and attentive but waiting two hours for food is just unnacceptable. On top of that, me and my wife were sitting at the sushi bar, and whem I asked our server how much longer the wait would be, they then asked the sushi chef, who in turn yelled at them. We felt so bad for getting the server in trouble when it wasn't their fault in the first place... a reall uncomfortable position. The management in this place needs to get organized to work on efficiency and speed and treat their employees better! The reason it got 4 stars was because of the great service by the wait staff!
Great food, nice price, but if you are hoping to order the sushi to-go on Monday or Thursday when they have half-price sushi, it is going to be full price. For some ridiculous reason, by you ordering the sushi to go, and therefore not taking up room or making a mess of a table, they thank you by charging full price! Also, if you are ordering to-go, don't order more than 7 rolls. When I have gotten it for 3-4 people and ordered 8 rolls, my bill always reflects a "manditory" 15% gratuity. Again, another nice thank you for not making us work as hard as we would if you actually ate here. I would be happy to eat in the restaurant if it didn't take just as long (if not longer) to get your food as it does for take-out, and their waitstaff was a little more friendly and attentive. I am pretty laid back when it comes to having a meal out, as I used to work in food service as well, but they really seem thankless for your business. The sushi is great and also the only thing giving this establishment the halfway decent rating, but I think from now on I am going to be taking my business elsewhere.
I can't speak to the whole menu, but hands-down, this place has the most fabulous item called matsusaka roll (sp?) If you don't eat raw, this is the item to get. Cooked shrimp with avocado & cucumber wrapped in rice and topped with piece of cooked kobe beef!! Fabulous sauce too! Can eat it all night!!
