A must for anyone: A throwback greasy spoon buger restuarant with all day breakfast that has been family owned for generations.

Good old fashioned greasy spoon: Known for their burgers, but try their breakfast for a real treat. Excellent omlettes!Service is variable and most of the menu is not exactly special, just good diner-style food, but it's the real Iowa City and not to be missed.

A local legend...: In this town, when you think burgers, you think of the Hamburg Inn. A huge and varied menu (a reuben omlett!?!) offers a little something for everyone. The staff consists of genial college kids who tend to lean towards the "hippie" type. Atmosphere is quaint if a little dirty, but this is definitely a "greasy spoon" type of place.
