When I moved to Iowa a year ago this was the first place my in-laws took us to. Honestly, coming from Nashville, TN where every chinese place is buffet it was new. We now go almost every weekend. We are also considering have our wedding recpetion there as it's "Our" place.
The food is great and I actually think the prices are very low when you compare to chain establishments.
I ordered take-out for the first time Saturday afternoon and was VERY DISAPOINTED. The food tasted as if it had been sitting out all day. The meat was rubbery and soggy. The broccoli was yellow and brown. I DO NOT recommend take-out.
But I've eaten several times inside the restaurant and never been disappointed. The food was always fresh and tasted as if they had just made it.
Have to disagree with the post that said it was a little pricey. Not familiar with their dinner menu items, but their lunch specials are around 5 dollars and that gets you a dish (like kung-pow chicken w/ fried rice), drink, egg roll, wonton, soup, and of course, the fortune cookie.
You'd be hard pressed to find a meal like this for that price anywhere else in town. Then to top it all off it's some of the best food (Chinese or otherwise) you can find. It's served quickly and very consistently. I've never been disappointed.
