I agree they could use a makeover. Food tastes like everything has come out of a can/package/jar. Drinks are grossly overpriced for a small town in Wisconsin. Great potential, but not worth the $.
I was at the pasta shoppe 2 months ago. the martinis were overpriced, very small and full of foofy fillers. When my food came it was slathered in sause, i dont know how the waitress could tell the dishes apart. after eating i had about 1 1/2 cups of sause left on the plate. the garlic bread was like a butter sponge. If i'm paying 60bucks for 2 for dinner i think i should get a new fork with my entree and not have to use my salad fork... and the salad i had was bagged lettuce that i would pass on buying at the grocery store. the environment is unique and the location is great but i think this restraunt is a great candidate for a food makeover
The Pasta Shoppe in quaint downtown Port Washington is an absolute find!! The aroma as you enter the doorway has you smiling with anticipation. The food is excellent, portions are huge, and prices are very reasonable. The upstairs can be very romantic too. The key is to learn what days and times to avoid this small restaurant, because it is so popular, when it is very busy waiting times are longer and atmosphere struggles as people crowd into the bar area and the dining rooms. Love the big red tomato!
