| About: | Brew City Bbq serves American food, especially barbecue, including ribs, sandwiches, and steaks. It specializes in pork, something with which it has had great success. The servers are friendly, and the menu is extensive. As the name implies, it also has a bar. The dining rooms are designed to be pleasant, but if the customer wishes, the customer can dine outdoors in one of the patio areas. |

We had a terrible 'management experience' there. Server was fairly cordial, but we'd had some question on one of those entertainment book coupons: I had asked, mostly on form, if the coupon was okay, since it seemed loaded with the "not holidays" and subdry conditions. She said the manager was a stickler on coupons and they had to clear all coupons with him. Not a good sign when they get the manager from behind the bar. To my surprise, he would not honor the coupon at all, even though the rules as set out were all met, and the deal was not particularlly good-- his rationale being that he "hated those things and wasn't going to do it again." I thought this was his issue with them, and surely not something to bother the customer with. It wasn't that great a deal anyway -- half price off the lower priced meal or some such, with a guaranteed 18% gratuity off the full price, but we just rolled and paid the full price. I was annoyed by the patronizing way I was told just how sorry he was that he intended on doing nothing whatsoever to make me happy. Made the best of it, but not been back since, nor ever: there are a lot of good restauraunts out there. This is not one of them.
I am going to have to disagree with Elysse. I have had nothing but great food and service at Brew City. The servers are friendly, outgoing, and willing to please. The bartenders are likewise. I LOVE the food, the burgers are great, the smoked ribs are exceptional and the smoked prime rib is delicious. If you are not sure what to order the servers will give their honest opinion on what they enjoy. As for the frozen drinks, the bar simply does not have a blender because their really isn't a demand for frozen drinks at their bar.
I would also like to mention that they are currently under new ownership so you may consider giving them another try.
Terrible service: Although very convenient for those staying at the Sybaris, we've had only disappointing service and food. We've been to other locations of Brew City but this one has let us down every time. And for some reason their bar can't make frozen drinks??

Met one of my old students working at Brew City Grill & had a short reunion. I went home with a fish fry which (even after being reheated in the microwave) was delicious and had very generous portions. They will be a part of my regular friday night stops.
