User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWe just spent five days here and will book again next time we're in that area. The grounds are quiet (we even saw deer on the road to the campground), the sites are wide enough to accommodate chairs, a campfire, picnic table, and your tow vehicle. Bathrooms are clean, rec hall and pool are nice. Only two drawbacks- the narrow road makes backing into your site a little difficult, though not impossible, and the showers are not fully enclosed. But the owner is nice and helpful, and the location is convenient to shopping and food, with easy Interstate access.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsOne of the very best around: We have camped at Timber Trail several times in the past few years and it is the best campground we have found. The owners are very nice and obviously take pride in their ownership.
The tent sites are tree lined, shady and private, and provide a semi-soft base for tenters. The firepits are beautiful arrangements of large rocks, not a lame metal fire ring. The pool is the perfect temperature to spend the day in, along with the hot tub right inside the pool area.
Bathrooms are always clean and the showers are perfectly warm/hot with adjustable temperature and FREE.
The rec room/lounge is awesome with a pool table, juke box, arcade games that actually WORK, PLENTY of seating and planned activities.
Outstanding pizza too! The prices are fair and the people are cool.
We have yet to find a place better than Timber Trail!
