Fantastic wine selection and great discounts on many of the bottles. Great champagne selection and great pricing. I found the service to be quite friendly. I don't know when einbiermehr was there, but I walked into the store at 8:45 pm on a weeknight. I look forward to my next visit when I have time to peruse the premium liquors. Keep up the great inventory Otto!
DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE UNLESS YOU ARE OLD ENOUGH TO COLLECT SOCIAL SECURITY. Only go here as a last resort if you cannot find a wine you like elsewhere. The service is terrible. This store's beer selection is weak and overpriced. They close an hour earlier than the already too-early state-mandated 9pm that most decent liquor stores abide by. I don't know which clerks amadeoavogadro met, but I've always been treated rather rudely there. Young customers are made to write down their address, phone number, and sign a statement promising they aren't using false identification. They do have a decent wine selection, but it isn't worth the added stress. They are surprisingly hostile towards customers.
What do you want?: Elm Grove Liquor has a wonderful/fantastic selection of wines both foregin and domestic. It has a very good selection of first class bourbons ( Labrou & Graham) and rums. The speciality beer selection is OK just not varied. The keepers are knowledgable and friendly. They sell a nice selection of cigars but since I quit smoking 3 years ago I just scream when I walk past the humidor. They understand.

I was there last night, and I agree the customer service was lacking. I do agree they have a nice selection of wines and liquors. The lady who checked me out barely said two words to me, and she inspected my ID very intently, and looked at me suspiciously. I am 34 years old, and I do not look like I could pass for 21. I was buying a $70 bottle of scotch, and she was looking at me like I was a 19 year old trying to buy a pack of wine coolers with a fake ID, or something.
