This dealership is horrible. They DO NOT stand behind their word. If you are in the market for a Dodge or Chrysler go to Russ Darrow in Milwaukee.

Palmen Motors as a whole is horrible dealership. They have the worst managers and finance personnel ever. Ted Hendrix who is the manager is the worst guy to do business with. He and his staff is very unorganized including Brian in finance. I recently bought a minivan from them and had to go back and forth numerous times because they didnt have a lien release and then when they received the lien release they " sold the vehicle to someone else" before letting me know they have the lien release. I get a call three days later and tell me that the van was still for sale.
I go to the dealership and spent two hours with these morons because they are retarded and cant verify my payoff from my trade in online or via phone. And these guys are in charge of sales and finance?? They all dress like crap and have very poor people skills.
But can you blame them? Thats why Palmen Motors are the worst dealership ever and worst staff ever. I can keep going on and on about this dealership but I am sure if you go you will know what exactly I am talking about.
Cant believe this dealership has been in business this long. I wouldnt recommend anyone to this dealership.
Twice I have to come to Palmen Motors and twice Carmen Leonard told provided incorrect information about my car and service repairs. On my recent visit on 05/12/09, Carmen Leonard assumed I bought my car new and told me my car was out of warranty, which resulted in me having to pay out of pocket for repairs covered under my extended warranty. I bought my 2005 PT Cruiser in the year 2008. Since I bought my car from Palmen and provided my extended warranty on my first service visit I thought Carmen was looking at my information on the computer when she told me over the phone my warranty expired. Unfortunately, I couldn't find my wallet card with my extended warranty information at home or in my purse so I couldn't double check if what she said was true.
Carmen said my water pump was leaking, the radiator need to be flushed, coolant replaced plus replace the timing belt. These are major repairs and I shouldn't continue driving without this work done so I had to get these repairs done ASAP! Carmen quoted me $1300 to fix the leaking water pump plus the other repairs. The labor for all these repairs is about 5-6 hours. I told Carmen I am unemployed as I lost my job of 8 years a year ago. Of course I couldn't afford these repairs so I told her to only proceed with the repairs I dropped it off for (smoothing rotors and replacing brakes). Once I picked up my car I took my car to Tires Plus in Kenosha for a second opinion and quote. Tires Plus quoted me for $780 to get the repairs fixed. Since I didn't have $800 in my account to spare I had to find another way to get the car repaired, therefore, I got a small loan. All of this could have been avoided if Carmen had known what she was talking about or if she bothered to care about the customer needs.
I was so upset about all of this I started searching through multiple files and luckily I was able to find the documentation which lists the name of the extended warranty company. I called the company and they confirmed my warranty is still active. I called to tell Carmen this and she once again denied accountability and said it is the customer's responsibility to open their mouth and say something if what she says is not accurate. I reminded her how I provided my extended warranty information last time Carmen said since it is 6:00pm and a Friday if she could check into this information and she will call me on Monday. I have yet to hear from Carmen. What's even more infuriating is Carmen said all I have to do is call the extended warranty company and submit a claim for reimbursement.
Obviously Carmen lacks knowledge and the ability to take responsibility/accountability for her actions. She denies all accountability for her error and never apologized at all. I left a message for the Mike Prescott (so-called service manager) to call me to discuss this issue and he never called me back. I called again for him and he was never available to speak to me so I had to leave a voicemail. Once again he never called me so his actions (or lack their of) must condone her poor customer service, lack of appreciation, ability to NOT take accountability for the mistakes she makes, and ability to NOT apologize for your error .
In this day and age and current economy, everyone should be appreciative of their job and the customers which whom make it possible for them to have a job. This goes for cashiers, service attendants, so-called service managers, owners, etc. Especially with all the Chrysler dealerships closing these days they should show great appreciation for any customers coming into that dealership period!!
In essence, I believe good customer service should be given at all times especially if you work in the service industry. The service department at Palmen Kenosha WI did NOT display respect, concern appreciation, courtesy, etc. to me and I will NOT go there again.
