I am a child care teacher, and the other day I was on a field trip with my school age kids to the movies and I heard with 3 other teachers with me a teacher from this school cussing in front of her students! I am sorry but this is not a place I would ever want any of my kids to be!

The ELCDC general staff and rank-and-file personnel are generally very good. Owner/operator is condescending, self-centered ego-girl. She's done nothing but inherit the business... Her 2nd in command is much better to deal with - intelligent and nice. Owner lies alot and treats her staff unequally and poorly. She's very important - in her own little world. I think a little bit of inferiority complex exists there.
Expensive but nice. Location is good. Watch out for high-pressure tactics for fundraisers to get YOU to raise her money (after you pay your hefty rates). Enjoy snippy, unprofessional memos from time to time. Also, keep track of your payments.....

Two week notice required before leaving: I was told that I had to pay for two weeks worth of service even though my children didn't attend their facility. Apparently you are required to give them a two weeks notice when you decide to stop using their services, or else you get fined. I ended up paying for the two weeks even though my children didn't attend. This money could have gone for food, gas, and other child care expenses. Office staff is not very accommodating and was very snotty. Communication was very poor.

Also, we signed papers for part time preschool (less than 5hrs/day) and got billed for full time (5hrs and over/day). The told us they will never send out a bill, so in fact we will have no way of verifying the amounts were correctly billed until after we are delinquent. I called to find out what my bill would be for the next payment period and they refused to give it to me. They said it was up to me to add it up and pay on time. I said all I wanted was a dollar amount so that I can complete my budgeting for the upcoming next month. They refused to provide a dollar amount.

Upcoming events were not communicated to parents on a timely manner. Teachers said they sent a note home with child, but no note was received. We missed some very great events as a result.

Stay away from this facility if at all possible. There are others in the community that are cheaper and more accommodating. Management over there doesn't know what they are doing. Thay are very disorganized. I am very dissatisfied.
