User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsI really enjoyed the food and the service was great ! I will be going back !! First we started off with some appertizer's , spinach & artichoke dip and shirmp & brie . The dip was very cheesy and baked in the oven served with homemade tortilla chips . My son does not eat things like that , but he had some and liked it ! Then we had some of their homemade soups , broccoli & cheese and clam chowder . They were sooo good . The main meal was wonderful . I had chicken , beef brisket , and pork with a baked potato , that had bacon and cheese on it . All of these items just melted in my mouth and are so well seasoned . All of these items are cooked outside on their B.B.Q. which is really cool to see . The service was great !! Our server was very nice and helpful . She really knew the menu very well and the food items along with drinks as well . I do not think it was over priced at all , for the amount of food you get and for how great it was , it was priced just right !! I will be going back and telling my friends and family about the wonderful food they have and how wonderful our experience was at Popeyes in Lake Geneva .

I have to agree with the other bad reviews. Who charges for SODA REFILLS??? What a rip off. The food was mediocre at best. After 30 minutes of waiting for our waitress to come around she was rude. I despise feeling like a number in a restaurant. When we asked for a refill on drinks, she snidely commented that she would have to charge us for it. I said, "don't worry, we'll just take it out of your tip." I think if they cut down on running the disco light every 20 seconds to advertise a birthday maybe they could afford to handle the soda refills? I would have rather gone to Houlihan's.
Maybe there's a reason this place is frantically charging for soda refills and over charging for bad food....I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to hear they are over extended on their funds and under extended on their talent. Your poor food and service will be your downfall if you don't get it together! You need to get some talent in your kitchen or you're going to be bankrupt. I can't imagine how you last though the winters...oh wait, yes...you over charge us locals. SHAME ON YOU!!!! -

Yes! I've eaten there in the past and the food was wretched. I think they have too many tables to wait on so they can't keep up with keeping their current customers happy. Too many people come from Illinois thinking just because this restaurant is on the lake that they should go and spend all their money there. It's simply not true. Do some research and you'll find there are finer establishments in the Lake Geneva area. Popeye's isn't all it's chocked up to be!
