I attended this school from 1992 to 1996, back when it was still Milwaukee Trade & Technical High School. At that time, you actually had to pass an entrance exam in order to even be allowed to attend there. We were allowed to leave school grounds for lunch because there weren't any problems with stabbings or shootings. That changed the second year, but I am thinking that was when they stopped the exams to get in. During the first three years there, the school was ran by a very good principal, although I do not remember her name. During my senior year, however, she was promoted to the school board. Ever since that year the quality of the school gradually declined into a state where it's no longer a prestige high school. I think that a lot of the problems that the school has would be relieved if they went back to submitting all students wishing to attend classes there an entrance exam. As for the person complaining about being suspended for 1 day for being late, deal with it and be on time. It's the only school that I know of in the city of Milwaukee that deals with truancy in such a way and I always thought it was a good idea as it started my senior year as well. I think that the current condition and direction of the school is what turned the people of my graduating class away from having a 10 year reunion a couple years ago. I am actually glad that I don't live in the city so that I won't have to worry about my children attending this sad excuse of a learning institution.

if you late to school you get suspended for 1 day and that not right cause that make you look bad.This school has went down for last year .This 2007 school year is not good to me and other people thats why alot of kids or suspended for tech high.
