House of Guinness

by far the best bar in waukesha - makes you feel as if you are back in ireland and no tv's ...wow to think music and conversation. As far as the staff or clients have never had anything to say other than ( as every other reviewer or person i have had the pleasure of talking with in the establishment) extremely friendly, personable and professional.
My take read all the reviews take the one out of the guy with the issue and believe these

I was treated very rudely by a young man standing out on the street in front of the bar. I was simply out for a meal earlier. I met a friend and decided I wanted to look for my son. I had something to eat at my old buddy Joes place. We then went down to the main street line of bars to look for my son. He sometimes frequents those bars. I am not a drinker although I will have a beer or two from time to time. We went into Magellans and talked with a couple people. My son wasn't there. We walked to Donny Boys and again had a beer and he wasn't there. That place was very packed and I am not comfortable in that atmosphere. I walked myself then to check the Guiness Bar. I heard thast was a good bar. I saw 4 young men standing on the sidewalk in front. I said hi guys. The reponse was, "not tonight"! I smiled and turned my head and asked what? Not tonight is all he said. I said what your joking right? He said "NOT TONIGHT", you can't come in tonight" I asked why? Never saw any of them in my life. Asked do you know me? "not tonight"! I was not drunk. I left and told my friend. He walked down and walked in and up to the bar. I walked in then behind thinking it was a joke. The guy said, "I told you outside, not tonight". My friend then politely asked what was the problem. He refused to say again! I again simply asked what was the problem? He refused to say anything but those two words! I grabbed my friend to leave then the guy said, "I saw where you came from" and started to insinuate I was drunk but stopped the word itself at dru and said "not tonight". stopping the word there knowing I wasn't, at all. This is about principle to me. My family are life long residents of Waukesha. I personally never had any trouble as an adult and am 60 . I never was refused service anywhere. Just the opposite. I am upset and would simply like to know what the reason was for such shabby treatment of a good honest Waukesha citizen& professional simply out to meet his son. I said nothing derogatory or inappropriate. did not swear or the like. I left though saying he would hear about this. I plan to make this known and unless I am given a rerasoneable explanation will not be satisfied. I never asked for more than an adult response from this kid. To me he is a kid. Very young looking and said he was the owner. As a Paralegal in the area since 1985, I think I earned a bit more respect than I was given by that person probaby 25 years younger. I really can't describe it better I have not left any part out. I may be a bit off on one word but most is exactly as stated. That ridiculous "NOT TONIGHT" SAID 10 OR 12 TIMES. If this is better than a bar and alleges to be a PUb, then whats with such shabby treatment of inncoent people they never saw or met or heard of? A Pub generally opens their doors to new people with a smile. Instead this guy made assumptions and went with them wrongly. I really don't wish to push this any further. I simply would like a decent reasoneable explanation. I don't want any accusations that are untrue like I was drunk. I know I walked up there very well and held myself very decently and said hi. I have a rogh voice from some injuries in the past and can only think that threw him but shouldn't. Many people have health issues. I swear to this entire statement to be as I stated.

This House Rocks!: The atmosphere is that of an Authentic Irish Pub. All ages can feel welcome. The staff is very friendly. The music and entertainment are excellent.

Yes that what I heard. I wish you would read my reciew and if you can tell me anything, I would appreciate it. I am not out to drag down any business. I know the person had a Guiness T shirt on. Very disappointing. I know people will try to say I was not telling it all but I am. I rold exactly how it went down. RW
