User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI go to Rudy's at least twice a week! The chips and salsa are so good and the chunky beef is amazing!!! It is priced right, service is good and the food is INCREDIBLE!!!
User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsNever again!: I went there during a weekend roadtrip with my husband and yound son. The service was lousy, The server initally walked away without asking my husband what he wanted after I ordered for myself and my son. I also asked the server three times for exta napkins and to refill our salsa and drinks. The poor guy near us had a bloody nose and the server was no where to be found. His friend had to steal napkins off the other table.
The fact that nothing but tomatoes come on the tacos is ridiculous. It asked for cheese and lettuce and got charged! It would have been nice for the server to tell us this. The kids meal was $5.00 and the server never told us a tiny kids drink was $2.00 two dollars extra when she suggested my son try their lemonade. The kids meal consisted of a hard flour tortilla with melted cheese and a scoop of bland rice. My son did not even eat it.
When I complained to the manager about the extra charges and lousy service he stated I should be use to that in Chicago.I was livid! He was just as bad as the server. I thought this place was a step above Taco Bell, but at least there I would be treated better.
Never again! I will make sure I spread the word too!
User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsNot Bad For Lunch: I hit Rudy's for lunch once in awhile. The food is standard Mexican fair. Not bad but not the best. Their Chile Relleno is really good. Their lunch specials are really reasonable and are pretty tasty. Summertime is the best when you can sit out on their patio and people-watch.
