Sobelman's

I feel the need to write this review and give a big shout out to Sobelman's!! Their burgers are amazing!!!! Unless you have a major problem with eating Jalapenos or fried onions, don't bother with anything else than the Sobelman burger, especially if it is your first time eating at there. It is a third pound burger with bacon, 4 kinds of cheese, jalapenos, and fried onions, on the most delicious bun you will ever eat. It is unbelivabely good, it cannot be put into words. They also have other burgers that sound tempting but I have never ordered anything except the sobelman burger.

The one thing I will say is that I have to disagree with is everyone saying they have the best bloodys. I am sorry, but I can make a bloody mary a lot better than the one I tried at this bar. This is secondary though, a lot of people don't even drink bloody mary's so I am still giving this place 5 stars for sure. They also have good specials on domestic bottles of beer during the week, so you can really get a great deal on a burger and a couple of brews.

One other warning, a lot of the waitresses will ask if you want a double or triple if you order the sobelman burger, but you need to be REALLY HUNGRY to be able to eat it. Remember that each patty is 1/3 pound, plus there is a lot of cheese and bacon, so if you get the double your getting a 2/3 pound burger with even more bacon, and it's just a little too big. I think it takes away from the burger to have it be that large.

One more thing, there is a tv that is connected to a camera in the kitchen whree you can see them making the burgers. This is very reassuring to me because everytime I have looked up at the tv, the kitchen is absolutely spotless. They seem to clean the grill everytime they are done making a round of burgers, it is immaculate in that kitchen. I know that's a big thing to a lot of people so I wanted to include that.

They have the best burgers in the world. This place is absolutely amazing. It is a must stop if you are in Milwaukee.

Best place to go after a monday night of losing your ass at Potowatomi, the "dub-sob", and the California burger will have you in heaven on a cloud of $100 dollar bills. And Oscar is at the pearly gates to accomodate you in any way . . . Thanx Oscar, see you mondays mi amigo!

Burgers are definitely worth the wait! (Try going on a Sunday afternoon during the winter, hardly ever waiting). Great little grill tucked out of the downtown madness. Good service, great prices, and delicious burgers.

Hands down the best burger in all of Milwaukee! This place is a "little tucked away" so ask around on how to get there. Do not Visit Milwaukee and miss your chance to have a great burger in a great atmosphere with good people making them and serving!!!

What can one say other than try it for yourself. Best hamburger or cheesburger you will have in your life. I've tried literally hundreds of the supposed "best" from across the US in my travels, and they were all very good. Sobelman's is on another level.

Hits the Mark: If you are able to beat the crowds, this pub is the best we've had in the midwest. If not, it's still worth waiting for. The service is attentive, the beer is cold and flowing, and the burgers are top notch. If you're in Milwaukee, don't miss it, even if you have trouble finding it.

truly milwaukee's best burger!: i have eaten burgers in many different cities in the u.s.--from coast to coast--and this is the best burger i have ever had! the sobelman's burger boasts fried onions, jalapenos, and layers of cheese! the bloody mary's are a meal in a glass and the perfect remedy to an over-zealous 'night before'. the only thing that bugs me is the 'cheeseburger in paradise' song that plays at random (about every ten minutes). the owners are amazing and even know our names! this is a great place! it's kind of tricky to find, but very, VERY worth it!!!

Best Burgers in Milwaukee: If you want a good burger go to sobelmans, their sobelman burger is to die for. Oh, their bloody marys are one of a kinda as well.
