The food was decent, however, the service was horrendous. I took a group of 34 from to the Gun Club for a company dinner. Upon asking the hostess for our group to be seated, she proceeded to ask me who was in charge. I informed her that the reservations were in my name. She looked at the reservation book, then looked at me and asked, "Well, who is going to pay for this?" I could only infer that this restaurant is not frequented by people who look like me. This act of audacity communicated to me that I was not welcomed.
In addition, our dinner orders were not taken until an hour after we had been seated. Bread did not arrive until the appetizers and salad had been consumed. The steak at the end was truly not worth the hastle.
I refuse to spend any of my money or my company's money in this establishment.
Our FAVORITE restaurant in the entire area. Always great fun, fabulous food, Awesome LIVE music, and owners Cinday and Frank always make you feel special. Friday night fish fry is the best in the area...Getting ready to go right now....
can be good at times: We are regulars at this resturant but I have to tell you it may be a while before go back. They seem to go in spurts..good food and then they slip for a while. Tonight I had the Beef Wellington and I can tell you that the ones I made at home tasted MUCH better than this Chef feature. The Bernaise sauce tasted like plain packaged brown gravy. Yuck. My husband had the Prime rib..he said it tasted good but the pile of fat left over was more that the meat he ate. VERY NOISY if you sat on the smoking side. I think it will be a long time before we go back. They have some of the best waitresses around!
