Nothing but problems with Johnson!!! STAY AWAY if you are smart. My experience? Starting out, our HELOC loan had disability insurance premium which we were charged $300 per month (more than the interest itself) and overcharges that took months to get resolved. As rates lowered this year, they had a lag time of 6-8 weeks to implement UNTIL they started to go back UP... Then, as a "favor" to us, they send a letter saying they would start changing the rate the VERY NEXT DAY (HOW CONVENIENT!). They 'nickled and dimed' us on fees for our construction loan - all capped off by the "oh by the way now you have to pay a 1/4 point to FreddieMac" simply to convert to a fixed rate mortgage.
As for customer service, we almost never got to speak to our loan counselor directly - He was TOO BUSY - instead constantly getting put to voice mail.
I took my loans and business to Educator's Credit Union, where I now get better rates and fabulous customer service.
