This place is why people hate car dealerships. I called up and got a price over the telephone - hoping to reduce the amount of time at the dealership.
I got to the dealership and was met by a salesperson in the parking lot. He accused me of lying about the price and also called me "sweetie".
I went to Safro and had a much better, much better experience. Safro honored Wilde's quote - and didn't disrespect me for being a woman.
My father had a seventh grade education and was one of the wisest persons I knew. Perhaps this man sensed your disgust and feelings of superiority and treated you as he was treated.

I bought a Prius (used, 2004), which is currently in great demand, both new and used. I contacted someone on the phone, and this salesperson was paged upon my arrival, but I went to meet him on the lot right away since my time was limited. He told me that the price for the Prius I saw in the Milwaukee Sentinel was wrong and too low, and based on my research (KBB, other ads), I felt that he might be right (and he was, I saw the car I bought the next day for 3 K more in the same paper, the corrected ad obviously bought before my purchase). I cannot commend Wilde for their mistake (even though it worked out to my advantage), but they handled it most gracefully: not only did they honor the price, they also gave me - after short negotiating - a good value for my trade in (a Sienna with 100 K miles, not as sought after as a Prius). Sales talk was kept to a minimum, the paperwork seemed a little slow (they had a computer problem) and the person dealing with it not quite friendly, but it was overall a very good experience, and I do not say this only because I got a very good price (I would estimate that they could have made somewhere between 1 and 3 K more on that car).
