We went to have dinner at Morel's on 4/15/09. When we arrived the place was closed and for sale. Their website makes it seem like the place is open for business.

Wow, what a lot of dead animals you have.: Ok, so don't go into the bar area unless you want to go on the joy ride called, "How many dead animals are on the wall?" A few of us counted and each came up with different numbers depending on what we missed. "How could you miss the huge black bear?" The dining area is breathtakingly beautiful. Great nature art and lovely woodwork. The cook made my steak the way I asked for it so they get 4 stars just for that! The carrot cake dessert was wonderful but big so share with a loved one. Everything is big, including the check. Don't eat here unless you have a lot of spending cash.

Great and worth the drive: Located off the beaten path this gem is something to be appreciated.
All of the meals I have had there have been incredible, their game meats and duck are some of the best to be found. If you remember it as the Chalet St. Moritz, the decor hasn't changed much at all, but the menu is great, the wine list exceptional and service is always a treat. The owners work the bar and the floor every night, so you are sure to get good attention.
I have also had the pleasure of both hosting and attending group events here and both have been above expectations.
