User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsbest hummus ever: My favorite restaurant in Madison; I'm there at least once a week. The hummus is the best I've ever had, get some with pita bread for under $3. The sandwiches are excellent, $4 spent here will get you a healthier and tastier lunch than you'd get at McDonald's. The chicken apricot pie, spinach pie, and other entrees are superb and reasonably priced. Whether you order soup or an entree they bring it out to your table within 5 minutes. It's generally busy all day, but you can always find a place to sit. The owners are extremely friendly and accommodating, especially to regulars.
Grab a sandwich here and you won't go back to McDonald's for lunch!

The prices are incredibly low and the food is consistently delicious.Entrees such as schwarma or borek are served with a fresh salad and rice. The price is under $7. The setting is rustic but comfortable. You order at the counter and your food comes before your butt hits the seat. I love the tea- very strong and sweet. Refills for $.35. Conveniently located right by the university on State St.
