User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThe food is quite good--more of a take out than eat in environment. When we had a problem with the service one day and shifting hours and wrote the owner, the problem was handled very courteously and professionally.
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsLove the food. Kinda pricey. Kinda greasy spoon, carry out atmosphere, with the open kitchen behind the cashier, and the only seating being a carryout waiting bench, and a pullup bar. But the seating is never full.
Try the shrimp with Deb's sauce. Or a Po' boy sandwich. Or the jambalaya.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsSooooo good, my stomach smiles: This is my favorite restaurant in Madison. The food is terrific, in that "this is unique" way. Everything on the menu is good, but here are my standouts: catfish po' boy, jambalaya, turtle soup (ask for a shot of sherry) and the cornbread. Don't forget to load the food up with Vampfire. I recommend this place to people with spicy flavor interests. I return 2-3 times a month regularly.
