This is a great place to vacation at. If you want a terrefic vacation, come here. They have great service and a very cool atmosphere. Try to get a room looking backwards. It will face the Dells River and you'll get a balcony. The indoor waterpark is awesome! You can use an underground tunnel to get to them in the winter, and the outdoor water Park has some great family fun things. They have a Hot tub that is at least fifteen feet by fifteen feet! Its a great place!

Overall, it was a decent hotel, but note that I'm saying "decent", rather than "great". It provided a clean room, some nice scenery to look at, a place to eat, a waterpark to play in, a magic show to enjoy at night, and a front desk to turn to for help. Basically, it had everything you'd need in a resort hotel. It did great some areas, and fell flat on its face on others. While it was a good vacation and wasn't ruined in any way, it doesn't seem like the hotel did its best, and service was lacking at times. I'll break down my review into sections.

The room
It was clean, the bathroom was fully stocked, the TV worked well, and the beds were comfortable to sleep on. The view from the windows was absolutely gorgeous, with a huge forest extending for miles into the distance. There was a fireplace, but I never ended up using it.

The hotel
All in all, it's a great place, but it's so huge. I was in the farthest section, so it took quite a bit of time to get anywhere in the hotel. The elevators were really slow. Also, the layout has a high learning curve, if you will; have a map handy. There is a scenic riverwalk behind the hotel; great for sharing a romantic moment (or getting away from each other, lol).

The service
This is where Chula Vista was lacking a little. If you know the "you'll have to talk to payroll about that" quote from Office Space, that's how it was. I was getting sent from employee to employee, without getting a straight answer after multiple attempts. And I got different information each time. If you're not a low-maintenance customer, take note.

The restaurant
I was only in their main restaurant and the bar, not the steakhouse. It's not much different from Old Country Buffet, only with a few more expensive items, like snow crab. Unless you're too hungover in the morning or too tired in the evening, drive into the city, and try some local restaurants; the food there costs less and tastes better.

The waterpark
It was really great, the best part of the hotel. It has waterslides scary enough to, as I call it, tickle your nerves. Lines are controlled by electronic timers on slides, and move very quickly; I never waited for more than ten minutes. There's also a lazy river, two large tubs, and a wave pool.

The location
The hotel is not in the city, but about ten minutes away, located in the middle of a forest. If you're a family or a couple wanting to enjoy a nice getaway, you might like this. But if you're a group of 20-something friends who like to go out, you won't like the hassle of having to drive or get an outrageously priced taxi each time.

I enjoyed my time here at Chula Vista Resort. The hotel rooms is so calm and relaxing, I took 3 pictures of room 2118 with my cell phone. The waterpark here is very fun! Especially the water coaster that starts you out very fast like that mega race from Spy Kids 3D: Game Over. Even the tube slides are fun. And it's not because the slides are built outside of the place. I know I didn't get a chance to play in the arcade, but at least I could see my favorite game in there: Spin n' Win. So I give this 5 stars for its attractions and such.
