    I don't know what kind of people are writing good reviews for this restaurant. If you have ever been to a decent restaurant, you would never write a good review for this restaurant. The service leaves something to be desired, although maybe that is due to the pace of life out there. My apple pancakes SOUNDED excellent...soft apples sprinkled with cinnamon. In reality, it was pie filling from a can. Our meal was not only OVERPRICED.....restaurants in the northshore of illinois where we live are less expensive!...but left half of our party of 5 with stomach problems for the day to say the least. PLEASE BEWARE!

    We arrived at a busy time (10:30 Sunday morning), but we understood, and waited about 20 minutes to be seated. The lobby is full of stuffed animals, and the three young girls in our party (ages 4-6) enjoyed that. However, after being seated, the girls quickly melted down. There was nothing for the kids to do (no colors). I supppose they could have played with an overpriced stuffed animal from the lobby. Our wait was well over 45 minutes to get our food. We saw large groups of people seated after us get served before us. We barely saw the waitress, which was probably because she didn't want to be around our 3 whiny, bored, girls. They had complete meltdowns due to the wait at the table. I asked for the manager and was told he/she would be along shortly. When our waitress showed up, she advised that we saw the other groups being served first because they were served from a different window, and that her own window was backed up. Apparently, this had been the case all morning, but the restaurant didn't try to fix the situation. THE MANAGER NEVER SHOWED UP AT OUR TABLE, EVEN AFTER ASKING TWO MORE TIMES!! The service was SLOW and the food was ok, nothing specatacular (it is just breakfast).

    Yummy we ate there two times during our stay because the food was just that good! The peanutbutter pancakes were really awesome!
