My review couldn't be more positive.

I've eaten at The Laurel twice in the last year. It is phenomenol. if you are in Eastern MN or Western WI, I can't recommend another place more. I've been to Oceanaire which is where you want to go for seafood, but if you're looking for prime rib or steaks, THIS is the place to go.

Manny's, Mortons, and Murray's have NOTHING on The Laurel. If you have the chance you should eat there.

After reading the great reviews, My wife and I decided we would go to the Laurel Supper Club for her birthday. Too bad we never got a chance to eat the great food everyone talks about.
My wife made reservations on a Tuesday for the following Saturday at 6:30 PM. We arrived about 10 minutes early and were told our table was not quite ready. That was fine, however when 40 minutes had passed and a party of 11 who had reservations for 7 PM were promply seated at 7 PM, and we were still waiting,that was enough for me. I asked to see a manager, who listen to my complaint, and then stated that that party had a reservation. I guess our reservation didn't count for some reason.
Apparently, if you are only a couple and they can seat a larger party, you will be pushed aside. This is the first time I have ever given anykind of review for a restaurant, too bad if was for such poor service and awful treatment.
Just so you know, we went to an Appleby's restaurant, right after this, and got in right away. We got great service, and after talking to the manager ther about our prior experience, he gave us a free meal. I guess there still are people who give great service and care what you thing about the resturant business.

I enjoy this place everytime I go. The meals are fantastic, the popovers are great. Make sure you don't fill up on all the side items before the meal. I have to remind myself that each time. Great place for a date or to take a client.
