User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsI have reviewed restaurants all over this country and, indeed, a few other countries. I usually get paid to write my thoughts as a critic on the subject of dining experiences, however, on this occasion I must proffer this as unsolicited and uncompensated. Any critic must professionally consider that there are, primarily, three aspects we look at: atmosphere/service, presentation and, of course, taste.
Muddy Waters is absolutely one of the finest eating establishments on the Croix or anywhere else for that matter. The atmosphere is perfect for entertaining old friends or new acquaintances. The food is superb from the appetizers to the main course. I would recommend anything from the menu, my personal proclivity tending toward the amazing prime-rib.
The service staff has obviously learned of their role in the eating experience as they deftly approach their duties with friendly and professional mannerisms unfailing even at the busiest of times.
My latest outing to the Waters included both old and new friends. After boating all day, live bands in the park, an amazing sunset and fireworks over the river, all in our party agreed that the high-light of our day was our dining experience at Muddy Waters in Prescott, WI.

Muddy Waters in Prescott is the Best! Great food! Everything I have tired from their menu has been excellent! The service is great. One of my favorites is the pepper steak with au gratin potatoes! Their au gratins are homemade and OH Yum! Check it out.. great river scene too!

This place is great! Good food, good service, good atmosphere! Can't wait until summer when the music is going... the only bad thing I can think of is that the downstairs bar was very smoky... otherwise it was a very nice experience!
