This is the absolute BEST FISH BOIL IN DOOR CO!!: What a wonderful restaurant! We love the fish boils and love Earl's narations while he boils your dinner. He explains the history of the fish boil from the beginning to the end of this delicious meal. You start by sitting outside around the wood fire and cauldron watching the Door County traditional boil with all of Earl's expertise in explaining the history of the boil. He even has free sheets with listings of free things to do while your there in Door Co. Then you watch the terricfic Lake Michigan Whitefish "boil over" (get your camera ready) and you will get a warm feeling inside and out (literally) all over before your dinner is served. You then proceed to the beautiful dining room decorated in the Door County traditional cherry decor along with white table coverings. This is a wonderfully clean, tasteful (and tastey) and very family friendly atmosphere from beginning to end. They even help you de-bone your fish for those of you who are not pros. I fully recommend this restaurant at any time. Don't forget for a nominal fee, you may add their homemade vanilla ice cream to your complimentary cherry pie. Your drink of choice between coffee, lemonade or ice tea is also included in your dinner. They have chicken or ribs for the non-fish boil lovers and great breakfasts too. Make reservations early as they do fill up fast but they will add times if available. My husband and I have been attending this fish boil for many years and it truely is THE BEST in Door County. You will especially enjoy Earl's fish jokes and you can purchase Earl's hand-made deco. bird houses for a special keepsake. (He may even give one to you for free if it's a special occation.) Enjoy. We do every fall. Just a note: Summer is a mad house up there. Fall and Spring are much slower and less populated for your enjoyment. This truely is one of the reasons Door County does not have fast food restaurants in the peninisula. You certainly do not need them when you have xcellent places to go to like the Old Post Office of Ephraim. Thank you for the best fish boil ever!
