First off, the staff that arrived at my reception were very nice and accommodating. Aside from that, my experience with this company was very bad. When we first talked to someone there we had the impression that he was going to communicate with us about how things were coming along. When we had a final headcount, my wife called in to let him know and his assistant said that he was on vacation. So his assistant was taking the messages, and trying to handle the reservation herself. Unfortunately most of what was said to her about what we wanted was lost or never written down it seems, because when the owner came back from his vacation he asked about our order all over again. Mind you this was the week of the event when we received a call back from the owner. We finally received an estimate on Wednesday. (The reception was that Saturday)
On Saturday, the staff showed up to the venue on time and proceeded to set up the buffet nicely. when we asked about the 50 wine glasses we ordered, they looked and did not find them in the truck. we shrugged off that small problem, and continued to let the guests use the plastic cups. When we sat down for our meal, we noticed that there was only a salad fork and a knife. We asked where the dinner forks were and again they checked their truck and did not find any. The head caterer said that she would talk to the owner and have him call.
When i called the owner on the following Monday, i asked him about the wine glasses and the forks, he said that his notes did not have anything having to do with wine glasses. I figured that he just didn't remember, as my wife and I did call and place an order for them. He then went into a long winded explanation that the forks that they had for us were not something that we would have liked, that they were mis-matched and not of sufficient quality, so he decided to not bring them. I then asked for a credit for them, and he said flat out "No." and that "he knows his staff gave us good service and he gave us a fair price..."
What i do not understand is how an owner of a company can come across that abrasive and presumptuous. To decide to omit dinner forks without contacting us, and then to refuse to at least give back the amount that we paid for them.
Stay away from them, there are plenty of other, much nicer companies out there!
