just left hollywood video store (11-16-07 at approx. 1245pm) on lime kiln & I am very upset with the male employee that waited on me. I was told the last movie I rented was 8 days late, not that I had it 8 days, but eight days overdue. When I informed him he must be mistaken, I was told "it was 8 days late". When I inquired as to why I had not been charged the late fee the last time I rented movies I was told "you have not rented any movies since then". When I told him that was not true, I have rented movies since then and was never told anything about a late fee, all he could say was "you returned a movie 8 days late so there is an 8 dollar late fee. The more I tried to explain that this didn't seem correct, the more he quoted the computer & basically told me I was wrong. The more I was told I was wrong the more frustrated I became & I feel he was not listening to me because as far as he was concerned he & his computer don't make mistakes. Then, after everything, he tries to sell me MVP saying that this wouldn't happen if I had MVP. By now my frustration level has gotten bumped up a few notches so, before I started raising my voice or saying things I shouldn't, I paid for my things and left. Bottom line, I don't believe the movie was returned 8 days late, I had rented other movies since the one in question was returned & he had no record of those transactions. To top everything off he is probably the least friendly and least helpful of all the employees I have ever dealt with all the while I have been frequenting this Hollywood Video location. Just think, 8 bucks worth of bogus late fees would have paid for about 1/2 months worth of Netflix, maybe it's time to give them a try.

Horrible Service: Employees are very discourteous to the customers. I couldn't even rent a film without a membership with their store! Apparently my membership at the Webster Ave. doesn't apply here?! Avoid this store, and go to the Webster Ave. one.
