South Point Restaurant

Southpoint is the quintessential 'greasy spoon'-type restaurant, with several compelling reasons to dine there. It's clean. The service is attentive, engaging, and generally attractive. The decor is exactly what it should be. Portions are sized adequately in my opinion, although those with large appetites might be disappointed. On top of all that, it's open all night! In the Stevens Point area this is a feature usually confined to meth labs!
This is the kind of place where you can eat on the cheap, meet your friends for a malted, or read a newspaper over a cup of coffee and a slice of pie. This place is not for you if you're a prissy type-but if you need to get some grub in you at 12:05 you'll find Southpoint open, ready to give you some decent chow at a good price. The menu might be described as pedestrian but the specials (which run frequently and are shown on the signage) range far afield from commonly available fare. If I were to characterize the fare at Southpoint, I would call it homestyle, but it's more real than that, more 'home' than 'style'. The food here is accessible and familiar, as if it came from your own hands. Most people could probably make this stuff at home and that's what I like about it.

Jeanna-south point is great because they always make the food fast and fresh. plus, they make the best pies.
