User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsGreat place to eat...not so great place to work: This is a wonderful place to have a nice romantic dinner for two or a business meeting for many. The food is incredible. However, having had relatives and friends work there, I am disappointed that they continue to mistreat their staff. Hard earned tips are "doled" out by the owner on a not so regular basis. Turnover in staff is terrible as a result...

Group of 15 loved it: In no way is this a normal 'cafe'. A hidden gem with a great variety, great combinations of American game cuisine, served in a classy, relaxed setting. No 'pub food' here. Came with 15 people, 14 of us raved about our food. This chef would be at home in any big city in America. A strong wine and beer selection to choose from too! Service was friendly. A couple of bucks on the high end side of prices, but well worth it for a nice night of relaxing.

Cusine is excellent; owner knows what catering is all about...this is about comparible with Rockmans catering from Stevens Point at 30 to 40 40 bucks a plate...yes he is emotional...have worked at the Grand theatre for 4 yrs...i put him at the best of what Wausau food service has to offer...Paul K
