    Excellent pontoon sightseeing: My family rented a pontoon from Greer's Pier and it was a wonderful experience. They are on the Manitowish chain and from their dock you can boat to most of the lakes (except the really shallow ones). You could easlily spend the whole day sightseeing. We saw wildlife, beautiful scenery and interesting properties on the lakes and the islands. Doesn't seem as commercial as the Eagle River chain and there was less speedboat traffic. There are good places to stop for food/drink. The pontoon was large, clean and well maintained. We used a different rental last year (different chain) and the pontoon broke down. We were marooned-Not a pleasant experience. However, at Greer's everything went as well as could be. We will definitely do it again and recommend it.
