I am very disappoitned with this place. I used their services quite a few years ago and had a positive experience so I recommended them to a friend of mine to have her bridesmiad dress altered. She emailed me today telling me they charged her $80 and the dress does not fit. It is way too big still and they took the straps up too far so now it sticks in her armpits. They kept telling her "that is just how it fits"! I see from the other reviews that this is a common phrase there. I feel horrible that I recommended this place and now she needs to take it somewhere else because it still does not fit!! NEVER USE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!
ok: I had my wedding dress altered there as well as a bridesmaid dress. It seemed like they really took better care of me as a bride than a bridesmaid. They really took time to make sure my wedding dress fit right, however, I did notice that they did not put back some of the beads and sequins they had taken off in order to alter the dress. My bridesmaid dress I had them alter fit horribly. It was way too loose. I said something about it, but they said "oh that's just the way they fit." And I thought... well, they're the professionals. So, on my friend's wedding day, after seeing the other bridesmaids and seeing that this was not the way the dress was "just supposed to fit," I ended up with at least 10 safety pins holding up my dress and so did another girl who had her dress altered there. I have heard these same things from others who have gotten dresses altered there. It could be a hit or a miss. Not sure why... the rates for altering wedding dresses are the same for altering bridesmaids dresses.
Terrible customer service: The owner, Sharon, has poor customer service. I took my wedding dress there 6 months before the wedding. I had purchased it off the rack so there were a couple things that needed to be done, like the beadwork. When I picked up the dress and brought it to the cleaners the lady noticed the top row of beading was not finished. So I took it back that day to Sharon and explained to her what I saw on the dress. She said that they didnt have those beads and that it was my problem for buying it off the rack. I was so upset, she was so rude. She kept trying to pass the blame and then didnt even make it a priority to have it finished. What business treats their customers like that. I couldn't believe it! I left crying after getting her to agree to have it done in a couple days. My mother then went down to the bridal shop that had suggested her and they said that they had so many complaints about her that they took down her card. Don't go to her, she charges a lot for not very good work and is extremely rude. I don't know how she stays in business!!
