James Sheeley House Restaurant

The James Sheeley House is one of the best atmospheric restaurants to be found in Chippewa Falls. The Historic house allows you to have a slice of history along with your culinary treats. The menu is very well balanced, reasonably priced, and simply put, appetizing. On a slow night, the servers will hold a conversation with you, if you desire that is. Otherwise, the staff is very attentive to your needs. Whenever we have friends some from out of town, it is where we bring them to eat. Oh, and the Haunted rumours, all true.... ;

The James Sheeley House offers wonderful food, character, service, and more. They've got to have the best Friday fish fry in the Valley. Experience it for yourself!

The Sheeley House Restaurant has got to be one of the worst places visit. For starters, they would not take a reservation of 10 people. They might have good food, but we never got the chance to dine there so I really couldn't say. The owner spying from his camera in the kitchen feeding his face and comes out to tell us that he refused to serve us because we had children with us. The Sheeley House is promoted as a historical building that is supposedly haunted by ghosts (more like bad attitudes). I would think that because of it's history would welcome families. My son had talked about going to the Sheeley House Restaurant since we had visted Chippewa Falls a year ago because of what he had read about it. He was greatly disappointed to find out that a place he had such high hopes for, wouldn't even serve him a water or soda because he is a kid. I guess that is teaching him a life long lesson about discrimination. If you want to have faith in the world don't start at the Sheely House. After leaving the Sheeley House we went to eat at Dana's which offered excellent restaurant, good food & great service.

Wow. This is not the James Sheeley House I know. I question the validity and accuracy of your comments. The James Sheeley House offers EXCELLENT SERVICE, GREAT CHARACTER/ATMOSPHERE, FABULOUS FOOD, and more.

My husband wrote the initial review, and it is quite accurate I can assure you. A group of us had visited for a hockey tournament, and they turned us down because we had kids. We were there as they opened on a Saturday evening, and there was no one else in the dining room, so I don't really understand their reasoning. As my husband stated, we did enjoy a wonderful meal and great hospitality at Dana's which totally made up for our disappointment at the Sheeley House.
