We got married this past Saturday and had our wedding reception at Fox Banquets. It was PERFECT!! The room was beautiful, the hors d'hoeuvres table was amazing, and the food was absolutely delicious (and hot!)! From the first time we met with Debra Michiels, we were confident she knew what she was doing and we knew that she would make our event stress-free for us - and she did! The service we received both from Deb and from every one of the staff members was out of this world. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone for any event!

When my fiance, Tim and I decided to get married, we wanted a small, intimate yet elegant wedding with the celebration taking place in the same building as the ceremony. After much searching, we found Fox Banquets. We met with Debra, who was very efficient,(and controlling), but we let her know that we were picky and wanted things a certain way, our way. We loved the room we chose with big windows facing the green grass and riverbank. It was decorated beautifully, and the prices were very reasonable. We just got married in April. We had a variety of hot hors d'oeuvres, champagne and desserts. The service was super, the food was excellent and we were very pleased. We are detail oriented and had special requests, but the Fox Banquets staff made planning our wedding simple. They are truly a professional team that worked well both with each other and us. My husband and I were at Michiels on Saturday, March 21st.,2009. I was very impressed with this facility from the moment we arrived.Rest rooms clean, nice loby and dining room set beautifully.
We stepped up to the bar and Todd, our bartender was right there. He was very attentive with all customers at the bar. The Hors De Ouvers being served were, Ramikis (bacon wrapped chestnuts), Baby Bella stuffed mushroom caps, sauteed shrimp and scallops being cooked right in front of us, so they were fresh and hot! Then, the bigest long stem chocolate covered strawberries I have ever seen. I wish I could tell you which one was the best.... but I can't decide because they were all excellent!
We were called in for dinner and the wait staff was professional and friendly. They were experienced and worked well together.You did not have to wait for someone to come by to see if you needed anything because they were onto all of the serving aspacts.
Our dinner choices were the New York strip and Chicken Oscar. Steak was cooked beautifully, topped with sauteed mushrooms and served with baked potato and vegetable. The Chicken Oscar, a tender chicken breast topped with asparagus, crab and sauce over rice pilaf with a side of steamed mixed beans. Both were great choices.
Then dessert came, our choices were apple pie ala mode with caramel sauce and New York cheese cake with a fresh berry compote. What a great finish to our already great meal. Also beng served was some kind of grasshopper dessert(I can nbot review this one but it looked great!)
I have been working in the restaurant business for 29 years, and have worked everything from family service places to fine dining, and have done a lot of banquets. I am currently the General manager of a restaurant and I would not hesitate in sending any customers to Michiels. I am not usually impressed... but, Michiels impressed me!
