Back in the 1980's me and a buddy tackled the 104oz. prime rib. I still have the t-shirt and photos.
We were #19 and #20 to do it! I wonder how many have done so since.

We need to get Adam Richman from the Travel Channel TV show Man vs. Food up here!

I have not had a bad meal at the Black Otter until tonight. I would recomend it to anyone and everyone, But not any more, I ordered the rib-eye and perch combo. my steak medium rare. My steak was medium well, and when i confronted the waitress about it she said thats what i ordered, She never came back only to bring the bill, i had one bite out of my steak, and everyone else was done eating. I told her my steak was too done and had no flavor.
she put it in a doggie bag for me and gave me the bill. On my slip i had ordered my steak medium rare, and she showed me it. i said yes i know but my steak was medium well.The waitress then said well why didn't your tell me before, i would have if she would have come back to our table at least once. instead i watched my family eat, and had to listen to the waitress blame it on me. I will never go back, or recomend it to anyone ever again.

Excellent food, Great Service: Have been going there for 20 years and it gets better at every visit. Huge salad bar and flavorful Prime Rib.
