I have in the past liked the food here. The service staff has always needed work. Our most recent visit was very poor, food and wait staff once again.

I have taken every one who has visited me, from out of state or in some cases from out of the country(my daughter home on leave from the army) to the Porterhouse for at least one meal. My name is Larry and that's my Porterhouse story

This is one to RETRY if you've not been there since the current owner's took over.
The food is very good, the prices are reasonable, & the menu is huge.
This USED to be a place to avoid, but no longer the case. Where you could once go in on the weekends & see the greasy head cook sitting at the bar getting obnoxiously drunk & loud...You now go to a "cleaned up" well run establishment. Still some servers leaving a bit to be desired, but tip accordingly & enjoy an excellent steak at a reasonable price.
