My wife and I grew up on NY Chinese food. We don't pretend to be experts, we just know what we like. A couple days ago, we tried the Cheese Puffs, Pork Fried Rice, and Pork LoMein take out. It was as good as we have had since moving to MN in '89.

I am glad we tried Golden Crown, even after reading the heavy handed review someone wrote earlier. Not sure why some feel the need to go overboard when something is not to their taste. Whatever.

Give Golden Crown a try. Good food competitively priced. I recommend it.

I love the food here. The price is fair and the food is great. You have to try the egg rolls and the cream cheese wontons! It is a must try. They have dine in and take out available too. Great and friendly service. Good atmosphere.Really fast service too. I would say the best chinese restaurant around stillwater. Overall, an excellent restaurant and a must try if you happen to past there.

This, like nearly all asian restaurants in Stillwater, serves flavorless food of the lowest quality. Their sesame chicken is thickly breaded and soggy that is served drowned in a weak sweet and sour sauce blended with a few drops of kung-pow sauce. Their beef and pea pods are somewhat better but the vegetables are over cooked and are limp and lifeless. The sauce is a darkened corn syrup that tastes like diluted and empty.

The ambiance is no better than the food. The dining area is in the front of what used to be a Zantigo and thought it may lend itself to a great Mexican/Asian fusion, the chefs working at this restaurant are certainly not up to this challenge. Better they spend their time perfecting Asian food, and they have a VERY LONG way to go. I wish I could send you across the street to Stone Lake but their food is no better. Stillwater needs a quality Chinese restaurant where you can pick up a decent order of Peking Chicken and enjoy it with your family.
