I have not been to Grace's in like 14 yrs. If this is the same place as it was then I absolutely loved it. Had to check to see if they are still open because I am back in Minnesota and I have to go back. I used to have their chili cheese burritos topped with onion and it was so so so good. Child hood memory and you know kids are picky eaters. To the commenter below me, don't play the race card!! I doubt it was because you are black. C'mon now lets get over that issue. Race cards have run out!!

Before Saturday August 2,2008 I thought Grace's was a great restaurant the food is flavorless, but the service was great. My boyfriend and 2 kids go there to eat quite a bit the Nacho's are great and my boyfriend likes the bean burritos. On Saturday My boyfriend and daughter went into grace's at about 4 pm and we were the first into the restaurant. We were happy because we could have got our food and out of there within 30 mins. the waitress there was someone we had never been served by before we sat down and right away 2 other couples came into the restaurant she came over and took our drink order and walked away never asking if we knew what we wanted to order which we did(we get the same thing everytime) she went to the second table and took their drink also. When the third couple came in she greeted them with enthusiasm took their drink order and food order immediatly, went into the back and instantly the restaurant filled up. The waitress came to the front to clear a call in order and I quietly waited for us to make eye contact I then told her we were ready to order. She instantly looked up at me and said in a very beligerant voice "What, are you talking to me?! Did you say you're ready to order, Don't you see all these people in here and I am the only person here." I immediately said to her "I was only trying to save you some running back and forth time by letting you know." At that point we decided we did not want to eat there and left I then called to speak with someone about the situation and let them know how I was treated after being a paying customer for over 5 years she answered the phone and refused to let me speak to anyone else in the restaurant saying she was the only one there and there was no one for me to talk to about. I told her that wasn't true she couldn't be taking orders waiting tables and cooking the food that I knew someone else was there and she hung up on me. Today August6,2008 I went there to show a friend to the place after the fact of what happened last week and she stopped me at the door telling me never to come there again I was not welcome. I really wonder if that was because there were other waitress' there and she would be revealed on what happened the week before or maybe it's the fact that I was black who knows but I would not reccommend this restaurant to a homeless man if they were giving out free food. That was completely unprofessional and not just that but the fact that she greeted the people she knew as if they were the only people in the restaurant even though there were two other couples seated before the third couple even arrived. Not to mention she said those things with me being the only black person in the whole place infront of the entire restaurant I think that was pretty low down and hopefully who ever reads this message thinks to themselves how much good customer service means to them before they decide to dine at Grace's

WOW always playing the race card. Sounds like the waitress was very rude, I would continue trying to reach someone in managment, but by pulling the race card, you just lost all credibility.

I really don't think you should downgrade a restaurant like that. I've had positive expierences there and so have others. Besides race has nothing to do with it. She maybe had a bad day. Let it go.

Comida deliciosa. Great food, great people, I can't wait to go back! MMmm I remember Grandma Pena's handmade tortillas (she got up at 4AM every day to make 'em, back in the "Friendly Lunch" days) warm with butter. Heaven! And Cindy nachos. Reeeeeaaally bad for you, but so, so tasty.
