User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsSMFoodie: Leave your kids at home when you go to the bar. Mistakes happen in the kitchen, did you tell your waitress about the mix-up? If not, shut up. If so, what happened? It was likely fixed. Just another passive aggressive Minnesotan at work here. Go to the depot for beer and burgers. Go to a nice restaurant for good food. Go to Chuck-E-Cheese for kids.

I was very disapointed in my most recent trip to The Depot Bar and Grill in Faribault. To start with, they do not have printed childrens menus, strange for a family restaurant. They do have a childrens menu, but you have to ask the waitress to explain it to you. I ordered the Pepper Burger with fries, which sounded good on the menu, but the server brought out a Depot burger with mashed pototoes instead. My wife ordered the Butternut Squash Ravioli which consisted of 6 ravioli smothered with so much sauce you could hardly see them. The pasta was over cooked and soggy, and the mountain of sauce was flavorful but was very unattractive and had a weird texture. If you decide to go to the Depot, make sure you stick with something simple like a burger and hope they bring you the right one.

The writer who posted on 11/18-needs to get back to The Depot- and bring your friends!! New management changed the menu months ago, and it is better than ever. Great food and Great service!!
