Was there on 10/03/09 and they seemed to be lacking cutomers. Went on their website today and it is not working.....Bankrupt??????

Fantastic Calzones: Bascali's is a gem. I have to admit that I've never tried the pizza because the calzones are so fantastic I'm afraid to try anything else lest it not live up to the experience of the calzone.

The one week point in the whole extablishment however is the bread served before the meal. Serving bread is a nice touch but while not bad bread it does not live up to the rest of the food. It is exceedingly plain, soft white bread. The olive oil provided is not top notch either and since not all diners use it it may not be exceptionally fresh. Load the oil up with the black pepper and cheese provided on the table though and the bread becomes a suitable appetizer.

The wine selection, while not something to brag about, is adequate for a place like Bascali's and of good value. A bottle of wine tops off the experience nicely.

I highly recommend Bascali's as a delicious place to dine.
