The current owners have done a nice job of taking a place that "could be great" and making it that way. Small bar with an even smaller grill, but really good food, in a (now) clean & comfortable environment

I have a feeling that you are either a complete smuck or to young to remember how much fun the border bar was. These days the only people that seem to go in there are tourist (don't get me wrong, love the tourist) or people who well, let's just say don't have the same sense of the word fun. Seriously, the food is the same minus the homemade soups, it appears to be just as clean as it has been in the past, except you can't smoke (is that it perhaps?) or maybe, just maybe, it was the big bad bikers that led you to believe it was an unclean, uncomfortable enviroment. Not to worry that's a summer tourist thing, they'll be back again, but until then you'll be safe. I just have a hard time understanding why someone who is originally from taylors falls feels like it was some dive bar before and now it's great? Looks the same to me, only thing different are the people.
