| About: | If you like to visit sites that have been immortalized on the silver screen, be sure to stop by this very happening recreation hall. The bar was a set for the movie Grumpy Old Men. If that is not enough reason to drop in, how about playing a game of bocce ball on the dirt courts in the lower level. Irish culture thrives in St. Paul and for twenty years this recreation hall has been featuring live Irish folk bands. The 'Rec' is actually two bars in one; one side of the large room is dedicated to the pool table and dartboard crowd, while the other half consists of dimly lit tables and a velvet curtained stage. The large bar presides down the centre. Grab a pint of your favourite ale or brew and visit both sides of the room. Munch on an appetizer and listen to the Emerald Isle's favourite tunes. ATM on premises. |

Great band going back soon!: Great experience! The Irish band there was amazing. People were friendly and they had a good selection of wines. So if your Irish even if your not this is a fun, exciting place to go! There is more to do then sit and drink with Irish games to play, music to listen to, and good people to met.
Irish Tuesdays: I'm not the least bit Irish, but at the Half Time that matters little. I am treated like one of the crowd. It's a smoke filled, Cider, Guinness, and Whiskey drinking joint with the Tim Molley's every Tues night piping, druming, strumming, singing, and belting out great tunes, jabs, jokes, and more.
The service is always with a smile, the jokes are almost always lewd, the music is always loud and the crowd is always singing.
Overall, I'd say I love with pitchers of Guinness for $11 or a pint for $5, you know what to order.
